Martin
was first elected to Council in 1991 and has been responsible for
the
institution and management of the Society Corporate Heraldry Award
scheme,
and serving as Chairman of Council 2001-2004. He is a barrister
with the
Financial Services Authority, a liveryman of the Worshipful Company
of
Scriveners, a member of the Scottish and Canadian heraldry societies
and an
Associate of the Society of Heraldic Arts. His son, Edward, qualified
as the
youngest member of the Heraldry Society when he was enrolled a week
before
his birth!
