An heraldic twice-yearly journal published by The Heraldry Society.

All members of the Heraldry Society may subscribe to the twice-yearly journal The Coat of Arms. For over 40 years the journal has aimed at presenting heraldry in a scholarly and readable way. It is fully illustrated and is noted for its pages of lively correspondence.

The Coat of Arms and Heraldry Gazette back number volumes

The Coat of Arms was first published in January 1950 and appeared quarterly (with a short break from1971) in its original smaller format until 2005 when it went over to the current half-yearly larger format publication. The Heraldry Gazette started in 1957 and moved to its current A4 size in 1983.

The Society has a limited number of back numbers of both publications and would like to offer them to members on a volume (with index) basis. The great majority of the issues are originals with the occasional gap filled with a good quality photocopy.

The volumes are offered in loose parts; if you would like them bound DJ Bookbinders of Lifton, Valley Road, Harmans Cross, Swanage, Dorset BH19 3DX (Tel. 01929 481419) email djrob@binders.freeserve.co.uk can bind the volumes with the embossed coat of arms of the Heraldry Society on the cover.

Payment may be made by cheque to The Heraldry Society or by credit card through the Society's Paypal account (www.theheraldrysociety.com). Postage will be charged at cost as notified. The back numbers list and order form can be downloaded here.

Orders should be sent by post to: Martin Davies, 129, Turney Road, Dulwich, London SE21 7JB or email to martinsian.davies@virgin.net
