NOTICE OF THE 70th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the 70th Annual General Meeting of The Heraldry Society will be held via  Zoom on Tuesday, 27th October 2026 at 6.00 p.m.

 

AGENDA

 

  1.  Welcome and introduction from the Chairman.

2. To agree the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting held on 29th October 2025 (circulated via the website).

3. To receive the Chairman’s Report for 2026 (circulated via the website).

4.  To receive the Annual Report and Unaudited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March 2026 (circulated via the website).

5.  There are three Members of Council retiring by rotation under Article 45;

Graham Bartram

Robert Harrison

Peter O’Donoghue

6.  To appoint the following as directors/trustees as Members of Council under Article 48:

William Boehm-Schlumberger (Co-Opted 7th September 2026)

Phillip Bone, Rouge Dragon Pursuivant (Co-Opted 7th September 2026)

Dr. Bruce Wilson (Co-Opted 7th September 2026)

7.  To appoint Natasha Lawrence as the Society’s independent examiner, to hold office until the conclusion of the next general meeting                     at which accounts are laid, and to authorise the Council to fix their remuneration.

THE HERALDRY SOCIETY

General Notes

  • At the beginning of the Annual General Meeting the Chairman will check that a quorum of members is present. A quorum is three members present in person.
  • Under Article 11 the ordinary business transacted at an Annual General Meeting of the Society shall be to receive the Annual Report and Unaudited Financial Statements. The Annual Report and Unaudited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March 2026 were approved on 7th September 2026.
  • Any questions to the Hon Treasurer on the Annual Report and Unaudited Financial Statements MUST be submitted to him IN WRITING not later than 48 hours before the day of the AGM. These can be by post to the Secretary or email to treasurer@theheraldrysociety.com.
