The Scriveners Company Lecture: Heraldry of the Brooke Rajahs of Sarawak

Sarawak, on the north west coast of the island of Borneo, was governed from 1841 to 1946 by a succession of three Rajahs, all members of the Brooke family. This lecture traces the extraordinary story of the Brooke Rajahs through the heraldry of the family and the state during the period and into modern times.
