The Heraldry of Baddesley Clinton (Zoom lecture)

6:00 pm 24 October 2020 via Zoom

Baddesley Clinton is a small hamlet near Knowle, Warwickshire, England now consisting of a few houses, a moated Manor and a Church.

It is now the property of The National Trust but before was the long-time home of the Ferrers family – originally from Normandy in France.

Both Manor house & church are full of heraldry – stained glass windows, wooden shields, etc., dating from the 16th to the 20th century, mainly showing the history of the family from Norman times and their various marriages and connections.

The talk essentially takes the form of a guided tour of the house and church.
