Pedigree of the Earls of Kendal Written .By William Cecil Lord Burghley. This pedigree shows the connection of the Counts of Foix and the earldom of Kendal. Jean de Foix was created Earl of Kendal about 1446. The Counts of Foix continued to call Themselves Earls of Kendal (Candale) down to Elizabeth's reign. The occasion for which Burghley drew up this pedigree is not known.
