Peyton Pedigree 'The true legend of Antiquities: containing the honourable descent of the most Ancient and Knightiy Family of the Peytons with their alliance with the chiefiest houses of Nobility and Gentry in England: Collected partly out of ancient Records, partly of monuments in Churches, and also out of the truest Coppies eyther of Mr. Camden Clarentieux King at Arms, or famous Glover Somerset Herauld & out of all other bookes of this subject and Matter: By Richard Parker Bachelour of Divinity, Parson of Litte Wenden by Audley-End in Essex: and lately fellow of Gonevile and Caius College in Cambridge'. Richard Parker became rector of Little Wendon in 1610 and died in 1629. He was a friend of Camden and wrote a history of Cambridge University.
