The Heraldry Society Congress

Every 2 years The Heraldry Society organises a Congress at a University campus in or near a city or area with historic and heraldic links.

Delegates enjoy a 3 to 4 day (Thursday to Sunday) congress, depending upon the venue, where there is a mix of lectures and visits whilst enjoying full board accommodation and socialising. All Congresses have a theme, and lecture subjects reflect this. During the Congress there is an Exhibition of items provided by the members attending from their own heraldic collections.

Our members enjoy getting together for this popular event to ‘talk heraldry’ for a few days with old friends, new members and email correspondents.

In 2026 we will be at Hatfield College, University of Durham from Thursday 6 August until Sunday 9 August.
